International Paper - Eighty Four, PA has a Technician position available in our corrugated manufacturing facility. We are looking to start a hybrid schedule soon (on 4 days/off 4 days). This is to give a better work/life balance for our maintenance staff.
Key Functions:
o Responsible for diagnosing, repairing, modifying, replacing, and installing plant mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems for all plant equipment.
o Perform work necessary to maintain a variety of control systems and electrical equipment used in manufacturing .
o Responsible for preventative maintenance on equipment.
o Be able to read and understand mechanical prints, AC/DC motors, pneumatic diagrams, and hydraulic diagrams.
o Perform fabrication of equipment (welding both arch and gas) to desired needs. Be able to make adjustments on equipment to improve productivity.
o Operates all types of hand tools (i.e. drill press, grinder, wire brush, acetylene torch, etc.) normally found in a Maintenance shop
Knowledge/
Experience:
Drill Presses, lathes, welding, milling machines, pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors systems, lubrication/preventive maintenance and predictive maintenance, Electrical Theory and Basics, Circuit Protection and Switchgear, DC and AC Motors, Cable and Conduit Installation, Switches and Control Devices, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Basic tool knowledge, Calibration, Installation and Troubleshooting, Instrument Theory, Control Theory, Valves and Cylinders, Rotating Equipment, Principles underlying the construction and use of control instrumentation, low/medium voltage AC motor starters, and Programmable Logic Controller.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Experience working in the operation, maintenance, and repair of industrial equipment.
Must have basic mechanical skills, some electrical, welding.
Employee will need computer skills to acquire notifications, work orders,requisition parts for work orders, and enter their time against these work orders.
