Instructors Assistant, ATF/Van Driver - Days - Eighty Four, PA

Promote and follow safe working practices and take the necessary actions to prevent injuries and illnesses to staff, clients, visitors, and volunteers. ? Perform assigned tasks to insure continuous quality improvement. ? Comply with responsibilities outlined in Lifesteps? Emergency Preparedness and Universal Precaution Plans. ? Comply with confidentiality policies and procedures, including, but not limited to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act ? Attend and participate in staff meetings, conferences, staff development training, etc. during regularly scheduled hours, and at times, outside of normal working hours. ? Assist with transportation and escorting clients to, from and within the Center as appropriate. ? Report observations of participants during transportation as necessary to staff for professional assessment. ? Provide safe transportation by adhering to all safety rules of the road, exercising appropriate driving judgment and using extra caution during inclement weather. ? Assist participants with seat belts and other safety devices as needed. ? Provide necessary standby or hands-on assistance to passengers when needed. ? Escort participants to the entrance of assigned location to the responsibility of the designated caregiver. Participants may be left alone only when previous arrangements to do so have been made by the responsible caregiver. ? Refuel vehicle and coordinate or report needed repairs. ? Maintain required record keeping.
Job Requirements:
High school diploma/GED or completion of 8th grade and 1 year of experience working with the disabled. ? 18 years of age or older. ? Possess a valid driver's license, and not have been convicted of a crime which would bring into question the driver's ability to transport clients safely. ? Current CPR and First Aid certification. ? Assist Program Instructor in carrying out program activities: ?? Escort participants to and from activity areas. ?? Assume responsibility for the personal needs and safety of clients in the activity area. ?? Assist in the implementation of goal plans. ?? Attend staff development training and write follow-up reports. ?? Assist in crisis intervention procedures. ? Assume responsibility of the program instructor in their absence. ? Observe and report performance of clients in a variety of situations. ? Document and assist in the implementation of behavior plans. ? Carry out routine housekeeping duties.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
