Millwork Carpenter

All forms of making custom finished products from wood and composite materials. Not mass production of items. More individual custom items.
Skills range from interpreting shop drawings, sawing, ripping, planning, jointing, sanding, fitting, assembling, and finishing. Products range from cabinets, mantles, doors, decorative corbels, shutters, countertops, etc.?
Ability to maintain a schedule and communicate to their team.
Operating a forklift.
Delivery of products to customers on occasion.
Required Skills
Essential Functions
Customer service oriented.
Detail oriented with high quality standards
Must be able to lift 40-50 lbs. frequently throughout the day, as well as constant Standing and bending.
This is a full-time position. Hours of work depends on hours of operations, 48+ hours per week.
Required Education
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or related experience and/or training
Preferred background - Technical School education and/or at least 1 year of industry experience.
Valid Driver's license, willing to consent to MVR a plus.
Work Environment
Work is performed in a non-climate controlled manufacturing environment where individual is exposed to extremes of seasonal heat and cold as well as the potentially dangerous conditions of wood truss manufacturing. Work can be performed outdoors where individual is exposed to the elements. Individual is exposed the noise levels consistent with building (hammering) and the operation of large, commercial saws. Individual is exposed to the saw dust generated by commercial saws. Eye, ear, head, and hand protection is required depending on the operation being performed.

The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job with or without a reasonable accommodation. Requires sitting and/or standing for long periods of time; also stooping, bending and stretching for materials and supplies. Requires manual dexterity and strength sufficient to repeatedly lift lumber and materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Requires working under stressful or emergency conditions requiring high concentration and energy level. May require working irregular and/or extended hours.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
